We’re Taking on Tour de 4 – Support Our Ride for Myeloma UK
We’re taking part in Tour de 4 to raise funds for Myeloma UK, the only UK charity focused solely on myeloma — a rare and currently incurable blood cancer.
Myeloma, also known as multiple myeloma, is a cancer that develops in plasma cells in the bone marrow. Over 33,000 people in the UK are living with myeloma at any one time. It makes up around 15% of all blood cancers and 2% of all cancers.
Myeloma is complex, with no known cure. It’s a relapsing and remitting cancer, meaning patients often respond to treatment but then relapse — so there’s a constant need for the next treatment option. That’s why ongoing research is critical, and why we’re supporting Myeloma UK’s work to improve outcomes and quality of life.
Our team is taking on different rides to help raise awareness and funds:
• Graham, along with son David Casey, his son in law Graham Brownlee, and his grandson Lucas Brownlee, are taking on the 37.4-mile Blue Route.
• Louise along with her kids will do the Green Ride (1km) whilst Aaron, her husband and Ros, her sister are doing the Blue Ride & Red ride respectively.
• Farman has chosen to do the Yellow Ride, cycling within the velodrome on a static bike.
We’re riding to make a difference — and we’d love your support.
If you can, please donate. Your contribution helps fund vital research, support families, and move us closer to better treatments.
