Three years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma — a moment that changed everything. In the face of fear and uncertainty, I turned to one thing that gave me strength, clarity, and purpose: cycling. Even on the hardest days, getting on my bike helped me stay grounded, focused, and hopeful. It reminded me that while I couldn't control everything, I could still fight — with every pedal stroke, every mile.
Now, one of our best friends, Tony Hird, is bravely continuing his own fight with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer. He’s about to start the next stage of his battle, and I want him to know he’s not and will never be alone.
That’s why I’m taking on the Tour de 4 — a charity cycling event on Sunday 7th September organised by Sir Chris Hoy which symbolises strength, endurance, and community. This ride is for Tony, for me, and for every single person who has faced or is currently facing Stage 4 cancer.
This ride is more than the miles for me — it’s about showing what’s possible in the face of the impossible. It’s about honouring the fight, the fear, the small victories, and the hope that lives in every survivor, every family and friend supporter, and every person still in the thick of it.
This isn’t just a cycling challenge — it’s a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. A reminder that even when the odds feel overwhelming, anything is possible.
Your support and donation will go to Bowel Cancer UK. Every contribution, no matter the size, fuels hope, research, and recovery.
Let’s ride together. For courage. For strength. For life beyond diagnosis.
