Six years ago my life changed when I was diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma, a form of Primary Bone cancer. Thanks to the incredible skill of the surgery team in the Oncology team at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, I had the tumour removed along with part of my pelvis and an amazing internal reconstruction allowed me to cycle again on a recumbent trike. Following a recent recurrence, I am tumour free again following more surgery and I can't wait to get back on the trike. I've entered Sir Chris Hoy's Tour De Four with my oldest Irish friend and constant support to me, Brian Finlay.
I'm raising money for Bone Cancer Research Trust and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little.
The Bone Cancer Research Trust is the charity that offers hope to people affected by primary bone cancer. They fund pioneering research, raise awareness and provide invaluable support to patients.
Anything helps. Thank you for your support. Richard and Brian
