Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with cancer — something no one ever expects to hear. Since then, life has been full of ups and downs, but one constant source of strength and comfort has been Maggie’s. It’s not just a building — it’s a space filled with compassion, expert guidance, quiet understanding, warm smiles over a large cup of coffee… and some truly excellent baking.
Exercise has also been a lifeline for me throughout my treatment. On the toughest days, even gentle movement helped me feel more like myself — more in control and strong. Staying active has been vital for my body and my mind, and I’ve held onto it however I can.
That’s why I’ve signed up for the Tour de 4 alongside some amazing friends. It’s not going to be easy. Post-surgery, I’m still regaining strength and mobility, so this will be a real test. But it’s also a powerful step toward recovery: a chance to rebuild, reconnect, and reclaim some normality after a time of so much change.
I’m doing this ride to raise money for Maggie’s, to say thank you, and to help make sure they can continue to support others facing cancer — just as they’ve supported me.
Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Thank you so much for your support — it truly means the world.
