My Tour De 4 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer
As most of you will know I was diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer , Gleason 4/5 T4 M1 /N1 in December 2017 and have been receiving treatment and support from our amazing NHS at Royal Stoke University Hospital and local health centres without who, along with my amazing Wife Lorna I would not be writing this now. Like many I had no defining symptoms or warnings until it was too late and the cancer had taken a firm hold, Chemotherapy sessions whilst hard on the body and mind halted its progress and along with amazing drugs developed over many years of research and no doubt multi millions of £ help to keep my cancer under control and we still have a life worth living.
Staying positive, keeping active and controlling diet and weight have been a major goal going forward with my life.
On September 7th I will be joining Sir Chris Hoy on his Tour de 4 cycle challenge in Glasgow to raise awareness and funds for Prostate cancer UK and those affected by T4 cancer.
Any support will be greatly appreciated, together we can and will make a difference.
Time to start spinning those pedals!
