On 7 September, I will be riding the Tour de 4, a cycling event organised by Chris Hoy in support of cancer charities.

This will be a particularly personal cause for me. I lost my father to cancer in 2012 and sports have provided me with an outlet since then. It was Chris Hoy’s exploits on the track that influenced me to focus on sport as a way to clear my head and channel my energy into self improvement.

I will be riding in support of Glasgow Children’s Hospice, a charity that dramatically and effectively improves the lives of children who are hospitalised with illness. You can read about them here: https://www.glasgowchildrenshospitalcharity.org
