Why I’m Riding the Tour de 4 ‍

This September (7 Sept 2025), I’m tackling the challenging Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4, starting and ending at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow

On a whim I glibly decided to opt for the challenging red route of 56 miles with 3800ft of ascent in one day. Im taking on the challenge in support of Sir Chris Hoy, who I had the pleasure of meeting with the amazing Dame Sarah Storey and in memory of my dad , Neville Poyser, to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

This event was founded by Sir Chris Hoy after his own Stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis — a bold initiative to change perceptions and show life can be full and purposeful even with serious cancer .
