I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2022 and made a good recovery following surgery and chemotherapy in to 2023. In 2024, I underwent surgery to remove some lesions on my lungs which confirmed that my cancer had metastasized. Treatment has proceeded to include further surgery and ablations across both my right and left lungs, with the aim of making me disease free.

I’m incredibly lucky to have such strong support and love from family and friends to help me on this journey. We’re also very fortunate to receive treatment and care from St James Hospital in Leeds and their dedicated clinicians. I have also benefited from the wonderful support services offered by Maggie’s Yorkshire and their community of people living with cancer.
