My Tour De 4 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

In 2024 I was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma (blood cancer), fortunately the condition was found early and has been treated, the tests results confirmed that this was successful.

Last year was hard for myself and the family as it occurred in my final year of work before retirement, which as you can imagine came as a shock. However it has helped me settle into retirement as it focuses you on what is important in life.

Having gone through the challenge of last year I was looking for a way to give something back and Chris Hoy's story and charity event is inspired me to sign up. I have always enjoyed cycling, but I have never done anything like this before.

I have chosen Lymphoma Action as my chosen charity as this relates to my condition and has provided help and support in understanding and managing the condition.
