Sir Chris Hoy Tour De 4 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer 7-9-25

I've decided to ride the Tour of 4 on 7th September with my best man, friend, and teenage cycling companion Ali. We've actually been good friends since we first met at just six years old.
Just like his fellow countryman Sir Chris Hoy, Ali has been diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. Neither of them knew they had cancer until it had reached this stage!
Ali and I have had many adventures, but the first big trip was when at just sixteen Ali and I set off for two weeks to ride Scotland's highlands and one island. Tent, sleeping bags, gas stove, billy cans, and packets of dehydrated food piled up on the bikes an adventure of a lifetime began.
Some 46 years later we'll have time to reminisce about those days as we ride along together.
To heighten the challenge I'll ride the 275 miles, and climb 15000' of hills to Glasgow, but this time the tent, cycle cape, and billy cans will be nowhere to be seen.
Ali is currently doing very well and I'm very much looking forward to once again riding our bikes together in Scotland.
Unfortunately things didn't go to plan and I fell off my bike on the Tack Ma Doon in the Campsie hills outside Glasgow. True to form I didn't manage to jump up and dust myself down. I had a broken right femur, and spent four nights in Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where they inserted a titanium nail and three screws. Back home recovering now, and hopefully getting back on a bike sometime in the new year.
I'm still raising money for Prostate Cancer UK and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little. If you're able to please click on the donate link.
Thank you for your support.
