No one should have to face cancer at any point in their life but especially not when you’re young, building your life and dreaming of what to do next.

Over the last 18 months some very special, close friends have had this terrible disease impact their lives, their families and ultimately, their whole worlds have been turned upside down. All of them were in their early 30’s.

At the beginning of September, I’ll be heading up to Glasgow, with my bike, to take part in Chris Hoy’s charity ride, Tour De 4, to raise money for Shine, a cancer support charity for young adults. They do an amazing job of offering advice, emotional support and space to those who need it.
