I’m taking part in Tour de 4 2026, the cycling event launched by Sir Chris Hoy following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. This is not just a ride, its a powerful event bringing together people living with Stage 4 cancer who show incredible strength, alongside friends, families and supporters, to ride side by side and raise vital funds.
The event is to be held in Glasgow & will depart the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome on Sunday 6th September. As always, in my enthusiasm (will I never learn!!) I signed up for the 'Red Ride' before actually checking out the terrain!
My Challenge.....
The ride is 57 miles & apparently a 'challenging' route! However, the cause makes all the preparation & training so worthwhile. I will be riding for Macmillan Cancer Care. This is a cause so close to so many of our hearts, supporting so many special people, who bravely get on with their individual fights with huge courage.
The event is about showing that a diagnosis does not define a person, and highlighting what life with Stage 4 cancer can look like: strength, resilience and determination.
How you can help
All funds raised will go to charities supporting people affected by Stage 4 cancer. If you’re able to donate any amount or share I’d be incredibly grateful & it will boost me along with training & help get me up those hills!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this page. Equally I understand if you are not in a position to spend money on sponsorship, please just send me positive thoughts, it will help me face those hills!
Every contribution helps provide vital support and care.
With huge heartfelt thanks
