My Tour de 4 2026 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

In 1975 my Grandpa, Arthur, died from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

In 2008 my Dad, Brian, died from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

In 2025 I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and feared the worst but I've been lucky so far.

Lucky because my mutation of AML is easier to treat than some others

Lucky because I was fit enough to withstand intensive chemotherapy

Lucky because, since Arthur and Brian died, knowledge of AML has moved on thanks to the work of researchers and health care professionals who care about blood cancer and want to make a difference.

After 56 doses of chemotherapy and 80 nights in hospital I'm currently cancer free but to increase the chances of people diagnosed in the future I'm raising vital funds for Blood Cancer UK by taking part in Tour de 4.

It's a cycling event set up by Sir Chris Hoy to raise money for cancer charities and to raise awareness of what people with cancer can do, especially those with stage four cancer.

On 6th September I'm cycling 38 miles to remember those that didn't make it and to help others with blood cancer. If you’re able to donate I’d be very grateful. Every contribution helps.
