I’m taking part in Tour de 4 2026, the cycling event launched by Sir Chris Hoy following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis.

The event is about showing that a diagnosis does not define a person, and highlighting what life with Stage 4 cancer can look like: strength, resilience and determination.

I'm fundraising for Mesothelioma UK. My Mum was diagnosed with the terminal condition a few months ago. It is an asbestos related cancer which can take 40 years to show up. They think she got it from the simple task of washing my Dad's Navel uniform, a long time ago. Mum (Jean Withinshaw) is a complete LEGEND in our family. At 91 she remains incredibly stoic, positive and can still be found on a golf course.

Mum, this cycle is for you with all my love and thanks for being such a wonderful mother. Xxx
