Raising Vital Funds for AMMF in memory of my amazing little brother Huw

Huw and Dad did this ride last year, despite Huw been told in September the year before there was no hope of him even meeting Idris in January.

The event is about showing that a diagnosis does not define a person, and highlighting what life with Stage 4 cancer can look like: strength, resilience and determination- which huw had in abundance! If only we all had half of the strength and determination he had

I am raising money for AMMF, a cause incredibly close to my heart. AMMF is the UK's only charity dedicated exclusively to fighting cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).

This charity supported us through the most difficult time of our lives and is passionate about changing outcomes for patients with cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) something Huw was also passionate about. They helped us find out when his juice (zanidatamab) arrived in the UK ahead of his first infusion.

CCA is a rare cancer and notoriously difficult to diagnose early. AMMF works tirelessly to change this by funding specialized research teams, spreading awareness, and providing vital patient resources.

I am no cyclist and before this the longest Ive cycled was around the wineries in New Zealand! This will be a huge challenge for me but im sure Huw has been enjoying watching me contend with cleats, bike seats and hills!
