We (Graham and Rory) are taking part in Tour de 4 2026, the cycling event launched by Sir Chris Hoy following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. It brings together people living with cancer, alongside friends, families and supporters, to ride side by side and raise vital funds.

We have chosen to raise funds for the charity Brain Tumour Research. My daughter Cara died from medulloblastoma in November last year. Medulloblastoma is the most common malignant paediatric brain cancer. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Cara was 18 and had so much to live for.
