Family Lost Everything in Fire

As most of you know, I am an 8th grade teacher at The Denver Green School. On Saturday, 4/6/24 my student's apartment unit caught fire, and due to the intense and erratic winds that day, the firefighters were not able to get it under control. Araiyah was home alone that day with her dog, but thankfully they were able to safely get out. However, all of her family's furniture and personal belongings were destroyed. They currently have nothing and are staying with friends and family. I'm hoping to raise some money for them to purchase clothes, shoes, personal items and other necessities as they navigate this heartbreaking reality and get back on their feet.
