My stepdad suffered a stroke in his brain

I don't like to ask for help, but there's one person who is even less likely to ask for it, my mom. She's the strongest, most caring person I know and she never asks for help because she always does everything she can to help everyone and has done so for as long as I can remember. She has always put everyone before herself so now at this stage in her life, she has found herself in a fearful situation after my stepdad suffered a stroke in his brain during surgery. His recovery will be long and difficult.

My mom worked at the same place for over 20 years, and after new ownership took over, she was fired. She has been completely dependent on my stepdad's income since, which at this point and indefinitely will not exist.

They knew they were facing a difficult journey when they adopted their granddaughter who is now 7 years old, but they did not anticipate these kind of roadblocks.

Both of them are always there for anyone in need of help and it would be so great to return some of the kindness to them.
