Hello everyone, my name is Alix Jeannin, and I have created this GoFundMe for my Stepdad Ron.
Recently my family got some horrible news; Ron has been diagnosed with cancer in his prostate and abdomen. We are still in the works to find out what stage his cancer is in, and how aggressive his treatment will be. Today he went for a CT scan and is now scheduled for an emergency surgery on Wednesday (February 3rd, 2021).
The reason I put this GoFundMe together is because my mom and my Ron have been having troubles financially due to Covid-19, and this will push them over the edge. They aren’t getting the hours they need at work, and the bills aren’t slowing down. Once Ron begins treatment he will not be able to work, which means they will only have one income coming in.
I want Ron to be able to focus on getting better, I don’t want them worrying about how they’re going to keep up with the bills.
Now I’ll tell you a little bit about our families past. If you are someone who knows me or my family, you probably know that we haven’t had the best of luck. My mom has been a single mother of 3 for a long time, and while being the most kick-ass mom EVER, in the past she has experienced some troubled partners. A month before my younger sister was born, her birth father very suddenly passed away. After that, our family was devastated, and there was a huge hole left there.
About 7 years go by and my mom tells me that she met this really amazing man named Ron. My older brother and I were very skeptical because we did not want our family to have to go through any more hurt. The day I met Ron, I could see how kind he was, and that he was the one my mom would spend the rest of her life with; the one who would make her happy, and start filling that hole once and for all.
As for my little sister, Ron has continually shown us how much he loves her, and treats her as his own. The love that I see when he looks/talks to her is so real. He has reassured all of us that if anything were to ever happen, he would always be there for her and be her father no matter what.
Ron has made such a difference in our lives, and has brought so much happiness to us as well. We love him to the moon and back, I don’t know where we would be without him.
Ron and my mom, Michelle are not the kind of people who ask for help from anyone, so that’s why I put this together.
If you would be so kind to spare anything, even doing something as small as sharing this fundraiser on your socials, it would mean the absolute world to me and my family.
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read this, and for sharing. We are so grateful.
I hope you all are keeping safe and healthy.
