My Stepdad Was Killed By Drunk Driver Help My Mom
Donation protected
On October 15, 2021 my stepdad, Jay, died after being struck by an drunk driver while riding his skateboard to the store. Currently, there is a police investigation which has made closure even more difficult.
I am fundraising for my mother and my younger sister to help cover the cost of my stepfather's recent death and to help them relocate to affordable housing. Without Jay, my mother cannot afford her current housing and will be forced to move. Any donations will go toward the cost of Jay's memorial and cremation. Additional donations will help my mother and sister be able to afford housing when they are forced to move.

The last few years have been the the happiest years of my mom's turbulent life. She overcame struggles with drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, and separation of my family. In 2017 she met the man of her dreams, Justin Ransome, at church during her baptism ceremony. She had reformed and was looking to start her life in the faith of God. Her and 'Jay' were both baptised that day and so began the true turning point for her. Together, she and Jay devoted their lives to God. Jay built a business as an electrician. He and my mother worked very hard together and were finally able to secure a safe place to raise my 15 year old sister. On October 10, 2020 they were married. My sister finally had a wonderful father figure and role model.
My family, especially my mother, is overwelmed with shock and grief at his passing. My mother states that she still feels like he will walk through our door at any moment. I know that the grieving process has just begun for my family and I want to offer them as much support as I can.
On behalf of my mother, sister, and our family we appreciate all of the support and prayers that have been sent out over the last few days and a very sincere thank you to any donators.
RIP Justin Carl Ransome you are forever in our hearts.
