Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,

Today, I am reaching out on behalf of a remarkable young man, my son, Blake. At just 22, fresh into his first career after uni, he's been handed a challenge that no one should have to face so young: a year+ long battle against cancer. We thought he had it beat after his first 6 months of chemo early in 2023, but it turns out cancer is a tricky little enemy and it came back. He goes into hospital today (after finishing another round of chemo) for his bone marrow transplant. We are all hopeful this will be the final treatment. (Not to pull on the heartstrings too much, but he will be in hospital for a month, spending Christmas and New Year without his friends or family, but surrounded by the loving care of the doctors and nurses as he undergoes treatment and starts his recovery).

Blake has always been a beacon of resilience and optimism. He's the kind of person who's first to lend a hand and last to ask for help. After diligently working to kickstart his career, he now finds himself in a fight for his health, necessitating a pause in his professional life as he steps onto the uncertain path of medical leave. FMLA will provide some relief and his amazing employer has stood by him so that he will still have a job once he has recovered, but even with health insurance, it is a big financial burden.

-The Road Ahead-

This journey is not just about treatment; it's about ensuring Blake can focus on healing without the crippling stress of financial burdens. Your support will directly contribute to:

Ongoing medical treatments and necessary medications
Travel and accommodation expenses for specialist appointments
Helping him maintain stability during his medical leave
Every contribution, no matter the size, is a step towards easing this journey for him.

-Your Support Matters-

For those unable to donate, your moral support is just as valuable. Please consider sharing this campaign and sending Blake a message of strength and positivity. Every share, every kind word counts.

Your generosity and kindness in this challenging time mean the world to us. We will keep you updated on his journey and his victories, big and small, along the way.

Thank you for standing with Blake.

Warm regards, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all,
Charles
