Help My Son with His Kidney Transplant & Expenses
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Blondell Gallman, and I am fundraising to help my son with medical bills for a kidney transplant. 27 years ago, I donated one of my kidneys to my son. Now he needs another kidney. My son first had kidney failure at the age of 18. We almost lost him too soon. We were able to catch his illness in time. That was a very emotional and stressful time for me. When he got sick unexpectedly, we were not prepared for the expenses, travel, supplies, donor expenses, and lost time from work that came with kidney failure and having a kidney transplant.
My son is a loving husband and father of 4 beautiful kids. He is very active in their lives. He never misses a sporting event, always there to help with homework and carpool for their events. Since being on dialysis, he has to adjust his involvement and work schedule to accommodate his health.
My son is now on dialysis as he waits for another kidney donor. He and his family now face significant medical expenses throughout this process. We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to support Sean's medical expenses and necessary equipment, and non-medical expenses such as lost wages, child care, home care and travel costs that are incurred because of the donation process. Our goal is to alleviate the financial burden that hangs over him so that he can focus on his recovery and family.
Sean gives back to his community through volunteer work and helping others heal. Let's help him heal. We as one can help him overcome this challenging chapter in his life and let him know he is not alone on this journey.
Please consider contributing, no matter how small, to help us reach our target. Every dollar donated will assist my son and his family with medical and non-medical expenses and allow him to reclaim his life before he was diagnosed with kidney failure and dialysis.
And if you're unable to donate at this time, please share this campaign with your network or consider donating a kidney to Sean Gallman or someone in need of one. You can contact Vanderbilt Hospital kidney transplant clinic directly or go to this address and fill out the donor form.
Thank you for your kindness, and generosity, and for making a difference. This GoFundMe was set up by Blondell Gallman, Sean's mother.
