My son was adopted without my consent

My family and I will never get back the years lost
Please help us, so we don't lose anymore.

On February 3, 2015 my son was born in South Carolina. I delivered him myself as I am a Firefighter II and a First Responder, I held him as he took his first breath.

In 2019, my son was adopted without my consent or knowledge in Lancaster County, South Carolina. According to South Carolina Law, legal notice must be first attempted before an adoption can occur- I received none. My constitutional right to due process was violated.

The mother of my son went before the court with her husband and claimed she did not know where to find me, to notify me about my son's adoption, despite previously living at my residence. Lancaster Family Court did not do anything to verify my son's mother's claims nor did they send notice to my address, which they have on file. They took her at her word. As a result, the adoption went through without me even knowing. They then took my son to another state and changed his name.

I live in a constant state of worry for my son's wellbeing. Prior to the fraudulent adoption, DSS knocked on my door and notified me that my son's mother and her husband were being investigated for abuse and neglect on my son. They showed me photos of my son covered in bruises. I later received a fact determination sheet in the mail from DSS that stated my sons mother and her husband were both founded for abuse and neglect. I was looking to serve the mother of my son for custody when I found out about the fraudulent adoption.

The court has evidence of my son's mother's perjury and is not moving to resolve it quickly. My family and I have been waiting for over 2 years for our case to be heard to overturn my son's fraudulent adoption. The hearing keeps getting rescheduled, and we are getting nowhere. Lancaster South Carolina Court failed to protect my rights, and they absolutely failed to protect my son.

This is my son; this is my baby, who I raised from birth until he was a year and a half- until he was taken from me. We are doing everything in our power to overturn this fraudulent adoption, but we can't do it alone.

What happened to my son and I, is not only morally wrong but unconstitutional according to the 1st, 9th and 14th Amendments.

My son's absence has dramatically impacted the quality of life for myself, my parents and sister. Our lives have been torn apart since his absence. We cannot live a normal life. Every day, every, holiday and, every birthday that passes is empty without him. My son is not only being deprived of his father, he is being deprived of an entire family who loves him.

I am told that obtaining justice for my son could cost upwards of $150,000.

Justice for a child should not be for sale; however, in America, it is, and this is what it has come to, to bring my son home.

Time is of the essence.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
