Our son Michael’s Journey

Our son Michael began a difficult journey on November 1, 2022, where he underwent brain surgery for removal of a tumor (5 centimeters) which tested positive (malignant) and identified as glioblastoma stage IV. For the following months of November and December, Michael went through aggressive chemotherapy combined with radiation as the prescribed treatment to eliminate cancer with the last radiation treatment on January 4, 2023.
As a result of the intensive treatment, the incision on the brain where operated became infected which now requires additional surgery for the wound. On Monday, January 23rd (Michael’s birthday), an MRI will be performed in order to determine the extent of wound and any residuals of cancer.
Our son Michael is a strong Believer of our Lord Jesus Christ and faithful to his family and friends. He carries the great name of Michael, the Archangel, and has the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and he is using this weapon to defeat the enemy which is trying to defeat him but the Victory is Michael’s! Praise the Lord!

Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Luke 11:9 NLT In addition to the health challenges, Michael was informed that his employment contract with the school district will not be renewed this year which places a financial hardship. As a parent, seeing your children face life’s hardships is excruciating with the only recourse is to turn to God, family, and friends. Somehow we have managed to persevere because of our strong faith. “because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:3 NIV
We have turned to God with much prayer and tears. We now turn and ask our family and friends to help us with your prayers and if possible your love offering to support our son with the unforeseen medical and financial needs.
