My name is Tracy and I am starting this fund raiser for my beautiful sister Rail.

Rail has been dealing with an autoimmune disease due to her thyroid since 2015. She has experienced many continued health problems because of this.

She developed Hyperparathyroidism which required surgery in 2018.

In November 2020 she was admitted to the hospital with MRSA and Septicemia. Doctors told her husband Terry she had a 5% chance to live. She underwent several surgeries to remove infected muscle, bone, and tissue on her hip and right femur and survived. She is strong and she is brave!

She has had an impossible to treat Pustular Psoriasis for the last 3 ½ years. It causes pus filled blisters which rupture. All layers of surrounding skin peel off causing bleeding. This primarily affects Rails hands, legs, and the tops and bottoms of her feet. It is extremely painful and many times the outbreaks are so bad she cannot walk because the bottoms of her feet are raw.

Rail has been on in-home IV’s a large part of the last 10 months and is fighting chronic Osteomyelitis which is a bone infection because of the MRSA.

Due to the severity of the infections she has combined with the auto immune disease, she will require IV’s, oral meds, nuclear scans, CAT scans, and MRIs for the rest of her life.

Rail's body is breaking down and giving out. Every day is a constant struggle and she has been out of work for that last 18 months. Her quality of life is not what anyone would want.

If all this weren't enough, she is currently dealing with MRSA infection in three bones of her leg, kidney infections, a hernia, gallstones, and gallbladder problems. It is likely she will require numerous surgeries in the future to include a full hip replacement and right femur bone.
