Hi, my name is Bree and I am raising funds to assist my sister through a very serious surgery. She has "pectus excavatum" which means her sternum is smashing her heart, lungs and liver. There is a minimally invasive procedure that is usually done in adolescence… but her case wasn’t diagnosed till last year.  

She is going to have to go out of state for the procedure because no one in her home state performs this surgery on people in her age range. Surgery is very costly even with out of network coverage, and they will have to also have expenses relating to this surgery such as- traveling to California from Idaho, accommodations, food and hotel. Her husband will also need to take 2 weeks off work unpaid to assist with her daily needs and watching their two younger children while she is in the thick of recovery. Extra expenses are in the 20k range and I am trying to assist her and her family in any way possible.

With the severity of her symptoms impeding on her daily life she will be having surgery in less than 3 weeks. She is very nervous about surgery and I would like to help alleviate some of her stress around the financial burden so she can focus on healing and getting back to the many things she does daily to show up for her family. She is a dedicated and driven business owner as well as a fantastic attentive mother and wife. Not to forget that she is the best sister in the world.
