My name is Jessica. I'm Katie's sister.

Let me start off by saying that i wouldn't be making this if she didn't desperately need the help. Please consider donating and sharing this in every group and on every page that you can.

Katie has had a rough 10 years. Between her chronic pancreatitis, diabetes, anemia and previous liver transplant. She now needs a second liver transplant. But this time around she is having an extra difficult time.

There are a lot of things to pay for when you are chronically sick with a debilitating illness. She is staying at our Moms house because she needs someone who can be there basically around the clock in case she needs help. She has been there since spring. Whatever katie and her husband cant afford, our Mom will try to pay for. They are all really struggling since this has been going on for so long. Now, Christmas is approaching and it's making the situation even harder on them all.

Katie is currently going to multiple appointments per week, traveling to UofM, Beaumont, doctor appointments, weekly blood draws and other procedures. It's not just medical bills, it's gas, other bills, food and things for her children. She is unable to work so she cant bring in any extra money herself.

She is waiting for UofM to get her on the liver transplant list. She has gotten sicker the past few months so we are hoping that she can get on the list soon. Once she does, she will have a huge recovery ahead of her and will still need a lot of help. This is her second liver transplant and as of right now they aren't sure of the exact cause. It's crazy that this is happening to her twice.

Update: Unfortunately Katie wasnt able to pull through and she passed away this morning. Please scroll down and read the most recent update. Her family now needs help with funeral costs and other things.
