My Sister Is 26 — the NHS Has Given up on her. We Haven’t!

My sister Beatriz is 26, and I’m sharing her story because she’s too exhausted

She fought Ewing’s Sarcoma (bone and soft tissue cancer) at 16 after years of being dismissed by doctors. She went through brutal chemo, a full femur replacement, radiotherapy — and somehow survived. For nine years, she was cancer-free.

Then this year, everything collapsed. The cancer came back aggressively. At the same time, she found out she was pregnant — a miracle after losing her first daughter at just 9 days old. But the cancer spread too fast. She had to start chemo, and her baby couldn’t cope. At 22 weeks, she had to say goodbye to her second daughter.

After months of fighting, a recent PET scan showed the cancer is spreading again. And now the NHS has told her the only thing they can offer is palliative chemotherapy.

The NHS is ready to give up on her — but I’m not!
She wants to live. She wants a future. She deserves more than this.

There are specialists abroad who may be able to help, but the costs are overwhelming — even the first consultation alone is £1,500. Asking for money is the last thing she ever wanted, but she wants a chance at life and we are running out of time. We’ve been advised each round of treatment can be £10,000-£14,000, hence why we are asking for help.

If you can donate, share, or help in any way, you’re giving her something priceless: hope.
Thank you for reading.
