My sister in law, JoAnn Peters

Hello everyone, my name is Aileen Pabon, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for checking out this gofund.me page I created for my sister-in-law, Joann. I have known Joann or Jojo, as many of you know her, for many years. Before she was my sister-in-law, she was a very close friend. She introduced me to my husband, and she has been a loving "Aunt Joann" to my children and now their children as well.

As long as I've known her, she has been a caring person who was always willing to help her friends and family in a time of need. Now, in her time of greatest need, I wanted to return the favor and do what I could to help her through this difficult time.

In order to fight her battle, Joann will need to take a significant chunk of time off. As the caregiver for her elderly mother, this poses a significant obstacle to her journey to recovery. I ask you to please take a moment to read her story below and support her in any way that you can, whether that is by providing a donation or sharing this page.

“So, I’ve become a member of a club. Not a club I ever thought I would belong to; no one else in my family has ever belonged to this club. You become a member because you are inducted randomly, not because you sought it. It happens without your consent or knowledge. The rules are harsh, and you cannot change them; they can change daily, making you feel overwhelmed.

On August 18th, I found a lump

On September 19th, I received a phone call “The results are consistent with a carcinoma.”

So now I belong to the club. I am determined to fight to become a survivor of this club.”
