Hot Water Bottle caused 3rd degree burns beware !

Hi, I’d like to warn everyone about the dangers of hot water bottles. Please do not use them, or give them to your children. My poor sister has 3rd degree scald burns, covering her entire thigh, due to her hot water bottle bursting.

Without any warning signals, her hot water bottle completely burst, her skin literally melted off her thigh. Remaining skin had to be taken off by doctors. The pain she is in is unbearable, even two weeks on. The photo is from today, two weeks later. She has to get her dressings changed a few times every week, sepsis is a worrying concern.

She still has to go to work everyday, as she does not receive sick pay, and cannot afford not to work. Please don’t let this happen to anyone else, stop using hot water bottles.
