My sister Dana, is an incredible single mom to two amazing teenagers, Jake and Rachel, and devoted doggie mama to their sweet girl Tallulah. For the past 21 years, Pacific Palisades, California has been her home—a place where she has raised her kids, built strong lasting friendships, and created a boutique event planning business serving families in the community. But now everything has changed, their world is currently upside down.

On the morning of January 7th, Dana and Rachel were in town when the horrific fires broke out. They desperately tried to get back to Tallulah who was home alone, but the roads were already completely closed off. With nothing but the clothes on their backs, they were forced to leave everything behind. Thankfully, Dana’s heroic neighbor was able to rescue Tallulah and grab their laptops before needing to evacuate.

The fires have made their home unlivable, devastated their community, and has made their possessions inaccessible. Her business, a labor of love is now on pause and Rachel's high school where she was excited to graduate from this year has burnt down. The life Dana worked so hard to build has come to standstill.

Dana is one of the most selfless, hardworking people we know. The type of person who never would ask for help, but right now we are asking for the help so she doesn't have to. She and our niece and nephew are safe, but have a long road to recovery.
