my sister, Cathie in her unexpected time of need.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Judy Young, and my sister, my best friend, has sadly suffered a terrible accident at the school she’s taught at for many years. Due to the severity of her injuries, Cathie has now been told that she is unable to return to teach her final year before retirement. This loss of employment, the accrued medical expenses, loss of school board insurance, and severity of the injuries she has suffered, has caused her to be financially unable to cover her medical and living expenses. She has also been told that she requires medical equipment to use at home that she will have to purchase.
Those of you who know Cathie, understand how this accident has devastated her after 40 years of teaching God’s most special children. She has spent all of her career devoted to every child she’s ever taught. Their families learned from Cathie’s expertise as their children thrived in her classroom.
To be told that there is not a position for her at her school has been heartbreaking to say the least.
Cathie is now in a rehab center to learn how to manage her nerve damage, cognitive impairment, mobility issues, and occupational health. The stress of her injury has increased the severity of her fibromyalgia. She’ll have surgery to repair the compressed spinal cord damage in her neck in November.
So, after reading this, I hope you can find it in your heart to make a donation to this plea for financial help. My sister, my very best friend, needs our help.
As I end this tonight, I ask you to recall one of our favorite scriptures from the Gospel of Matthew:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you let me in. Truly, I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:35
