living with scoliosis comes with its own battles every day.
I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 11, with an ‘S’ curve of 65 degrees. The doctor told me I would need to have key hole surgery as my only option moving forward.
my family and I chose against having the operation as there was more risks and side affects than living with the scoliosis.
I am grateful for that decision as I’ve began to find natural alternatives and different movement clinics to help with the pain.
on the other hand, living with that choice of no operation leaves a lot of responsibility on my shoulders to manage my condition and try to counteract the effects of time and gravity from making things worse.
I have now dedicated my life to becoming pain free. This means taking as many educated guesses as possible to what is going to make a positive impact on my spine now, and in the future, so eventually my scoliosis no longer rules me and my life.
Health professionals are not cheap and for a long time I have been spending almost all of my money on my health and trying to stay on top of my scoliosis so that it doesn’t decline and the pain starts to ease.
the training I’m currently doing is the first time I have seen any sort of results, which is a breakthrough for me. Although it will mean a massive amount of determination and money from my side, I cannot wait for the time I can stand, walk, sit with no pain.
to me that is all worth it.
The next step in the right direction is sleeping on a mattress that is going to support my spine and not undo all of the hard work and effort I have put into changing things.
we sleep for a third of our lives and living with chronic pain I need around 9 hours sleep a night. This is a big part of our lives, and each night adds up dramatically over time.
imagine, if all of this time is slept on a surface not beneficial for my condition, like I am now, it will be detrimental to my health and future.
I have done my research and found a quality mattress, which is discounted from $9499 to $4000.
this is offered until the 23rd April 2023.
if I can manage to find the money to afford this mattress before the sale ends, that is the next 10 years of healthy spine sleeping guaranteed for me.
I’m 24 years old and the sooner I can start taking proper care of my spine, the happier and healthier my future is going to be. I can’t wait to see results and live a pain free life where I don’t have to cancel plans or turn down jobs, or hide how I look or that I’m in pain. Thankyou for your help!!
