My name is Tattianna Joline Valintina aka Auntie, and I am a proud transgender woman, an elder in the LGBTQIA+ community, and the voice behind a small but growing podcast/TikTok Live. This is a platform that I built from the ground up. With nothing but my personality, desperation, and a deep instinct to look out for others, I’ve tried to create a space where people can come for honesty, kindness, and advice.
But while my platform helps me survive, it also leaves me exposed. Living openly as a transgender woman in St. Catherine, Jamaica, means facing constant hostility, harassment, and threats. Every day feels like walking a tightrope between visibility and danger. My existence is not only politicized, it is criminalized in the eyes of many around me and the law.
This is why I am asking for your help. My life depends on finding safety. I am raising money to relocate to a place where I can live without fear, where I can thrive instead of simply survive. The funds will go toward covering essential relocation costs: airfare, temporary accommodation, food, and other immediate needs while I get settled.
This cause means everything to me because it is not just about a fresh start, it is about having the chance to live.
