My Precious Momma's Terminal Cancer Diagonsis
Hello, my name is Kara Kochell and I am the certified care provider and daughter to my precious Momma Debra Raye. My Momma came to live with me, my husband Travis and our daughter Kaleigh almost 3 years ago this August. She needed extra care and was having a hard time doing it on her own. Unfortunately on May 24th 2021 I was contacted by her gyno Dr. that the Uterine biopsy he performed came back positive for Uterine Cancer and our hearts sunk ontop of hearing that news I was headed out the door to go have a temporal lobe tumor removed and I'm still waiting on pathology which I should receive June 14th. So in the mist of recovery we've had nonstop hospital/Dr visits and they had increased tremendously over this past year which was extremely hard during the pandemic!
On June 3rd we met with Momma's oncologist and our hearts sunk even more when we were told her cancer is terminal and the traditional methods of trying to contain it wouldn't work for her because she is in congestive heart failure and stage 4 kidney failure. They said she needs a PET scan to see where the cancer has spread but Insurance won't cover it. Their basic answer was she's 65 and it's terminal so they didn't deem it necessary
They could do a CT w/contrast but her kidneys won't tolerate the contrast. Her best option is a PET scan as they could target exactly all the places the cancer has spread and possibly do a round of radiation to lesson the pain and bleeding (she's been bleeding over a year now!) Radiation will NOT cure her cancer but it can lesson her pain and stop the bleeding. We have hope and are still praying for a miracle healing even when all the papers and Dr visits say otherwise
We're not the type of people that would normally ask for help but because of the time sensitive nature of needing a PET scan, cost of fuel for appts, medical bills that are already coming in for Momma and myself, having to cover food that we have to eat on the go between Dr appts it has become too much for my husband and I to carry
Would you possibly consider praying and seeing what God would place on your heart to give? Anything right now would be a blessing! If you can't give would you partner with us in prayer, praying for a miracle healing, comfort and peace while enduring the pain she's having?
I know my Jesus can change what reports say, I'm believing for it but I also understand my Precious Momma's healing may not happen this side of heaven. Please Please pray for our little family of 4!
