My Philly Lily needs our help.
Life has a way of sometimes throwing us a very unexpected curve ball. Something we have no control over, something that blind-sides us. My courageous friend Philly who I have known for over 27 amazing years is facing a curve ball of her own head on.
In November she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She tackled this with surgery in December and is currently in the midst of radiation.
The diagnosis came out the blue. She turned down new bookings but with the support of her faith, family and friends she harnessed inner strength to complete and enjoy previously scheduled projects while looking this bad news squarely in the face . She describes this last few months as stretching but also as beautiful and strengthening. . Philly is thankful for the many projects in the works from May onward. Her creative juices are flowing and she is excited for what the future holds.
However, despite her courage, the reality is that this diagnosis has brought with it unexpected costs and is impeding her ability to work in the here and now. She has already forfeited income in December and her current daily treatments made it necessary to decline at least 2 projects in February amounting to numerous week's work lost in February alone. My wish for her is to be able to complete this phase of her treatment with some of the financial burden lifted.
I want her to be able to tackle this next portion without any unnecessary distractions, setting the stage for maximum health, rest and recovery.
Philly is one of the sweetest, funniest, hardworking, strong women I know. Please help me help my friend with any amount you are able.
