The Cihlas

Hello!

My name is Michelle I am starting a go fund me on behalf of my parents Denice & Doug Cihla.

On May 13th 2022 my father ended up having an unexpected stroke, which sent him into the hospital for a few weeks, to rehab and finally home a month later!

My parents live down in Georgia, all us kids are up here in Minnesota, I was able to be there for them but sadly I had to return home in July to continue on with my own life. My father and mother are home, my mother is taking care of him full-time, with therapy coming to the house weekly to help with his rehabilitation. He is slowly but surely getting better everyday, sadly it left this hard working man disabled and out of work, they currently have no income and are starting to end up in a bind.

These 2 parents of mine would give their shirt off their back to help out anyone in anyway they could. So I'm reaching out to start up a fund to help them out especially for all they have done for us kids and more!

They have very select of friends and family where they are. Making it hard for my mom to get out and take my dad with to run errands and such,

With social security taking forever to kick in they are getting on the edge of being behind on their mortgage payment, bills,Doug's medication, everything, it all adds up!

If you know these 2 loving, kind,working hard humans, you know how hard they try!

My father is a wonderful Papa to my son, and my son happened to be there when it had happened and helped out my mom so much, it broke papas heart that he had to see him like this, he still loves that little boy and was so sad we had to return home to Minnesota.

Doug is still working up his verbal skills doing really good! Everyday is a new step into the right direction, it was a very had time for all of us and being I'm traveling by car back and forth from Minnesota to Georgia to be with them and help out. It's going to be a few months till we are able to make it down to them again.

Any thing is going to help. I just want to relieve some stress off my mother being she is now the only one capable of making all the moves, and keeping everything paid while taking care of him!
