DEVASTATING FLOOD DAMAGE CAUSED BY CLOGGED CULVERT

Hi. My name is Lillian Anderson. I have made this page to help my parents with the clean-up and repair costs associated with their recent home flooding disaster/emergency.

While my Mom and Dad were on a once-in-a-lifetime belated honeymoon vacation to Hawaii, their house flooded. Massive amounts of water and chunks of ice and snow inundated the entire first floor, with water levels reaching a foot deep throughout the house and into every room.

The flooding seems to have been caused by an ice-blockage in the near-by drainage culvert. Our house is the only home that has been damaged by this.

My Mom and Dad are not home yet to handle matters in person, but they are so very thankful to the family, friends and volunteers who have rushed to our aid while they are unable. Furniture and items that could be removed have been moved to dry ground where we can address the damage, try to prevent mold and try to salvage what we can as fast as we can.

With that said, the house itself has extensive water damage to the walls and foundation, etc. We do not have flood insurance. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by my family. We understand it is a lot to ask for monetary donations. If you can't afford to donate funds, please know that any note of encouragement or local assistance with the property damage means the world to us.
