My name is Laura & on Sunday evening my parents lost everything in a house fire. For the people who know my Mum you may recognise her under the name of "Nana Bling".
They have lost everything. Thankfully their beloved Poodle was rescued by the fire department & my Mum was in the yard when the fire began. As for my Dad he was at work.
My mum is 81 years old & my dad is 58 years old. I have already contacted The Salvation Army, In Community, The Department of Housing, St Vincent's DePaul & other local organisations with completely no luck for any emergency housing.
Anyone who knows my Mum, knows how many belongings she had prior to the fire. So this has hit her really hard.
The only photo of her father who she lost at very young age is now gone, not to mention all the other family photos, they're irreplaceable. But for the things that are replaceable is the reason I've started this GoFundMe.
My Parents will be needing anything to re fill a house to make their home again.
Because there is no emergency housing available & won't be for a long time. The only option we have is applying for rentals in the hope that there is something available.
Doing this also means they will need money to cover the bond & 2 weeks rent. This is something when put all together that myself & my parents can not afford at all.
So I'm hoping with people that know my parents & also people who don't can help in any way possible.
