Londoner Family Apartment Fire
Donation protected
Please help my parents get back on their feet after their entire home burned down!
This was my parents apartment until last Thursday (November 5th, 2020). My dad came home from work and was taking his daily afternoon nap when their dog Lilu climbed on the bed crying and scratching him, begging him to wake up. My dad can't see very well without his glasses, so when he finally and thankfully woke up he couldn't really see the smoke. He walked into the living room to see that it and the front door was already in flames. Without his glasses, a dog leash or proper shoes, he grabbed Lilu by the collar and jumped through the front door and made it out alive. The ambulance said if it had been a few minutes later, he would have slipped into an unconscious state. Lilu saved his life. Everything is gone. Things are replaceable. Lives are not.
My parents don't have it in them to ask for help, especially financially - but they could really use it. If you could help by donating whatever you can to get them some new clothes and into a sublet for the time being while they decide what the next step is, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so so SO much from the bottom of our hearts. I know this is a very tough time for everyone so I appreciate any amount that you can spare.
P.S. We'd also like to buy Lilu a very expensive steak ;)
