Hi, my name is Evelyn and I am fundraising for my niece and my older sister on the next phase to their journey to cancer. This year has been the worst, our life was flip upside down with the worst news we ever imagined. My 6 year old niece was diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma. It started of as a tumor in her stomach next to her kidney that spread so fast causing her lymph node and bone narrow to be affected and turned into Cancer. She was admitted to the hospital and started treatment right away which consist of 3 phrases. She is done with Phase one which she had to do 5 sessions of chemo followed by a surgery to removed most of the tumor but ended up staying at the hospital for 2 weeks since her kidney was at risk. Thankfully her kidney was able to healed properly.

Phase 2 consists of 2 inpatient stays at the hospital of 4 to 6 weeks each time with only about 2 weeks rest in between. In this stay she will be getting 2 higher doses of chemo and cells transplant and this is the hardest and most complicated phase. Her mom (my sister) will be staying at the hospital with her all this time. Also when she is out of the hospital she needs to stay at home and this process is about 6 months. All this months my sister won't be able to properly work a regular job and all this time will be unpaid since she just started this job. She was unemployed for about 6 months before my niece was diagnosed.

Phase 3 will consist of outgoing visits at the hospital for radiation but will also be a long process that my sister wont be able to work properly since she will need to miss those days to take my niece to her appointment, all this process can be up to a year and a half.
