Help Support My Nephew Bryson (Amber Grasso’s Son)

Donation protected
Hey everyone my name is Briana Witkowski and I am fundraising for my one year old nephew, Bryson. Most of you know my friend Amber’s son Bryson has been in and out of the hospital since 3/23/25. He randomly became extremely ill on Sunday, March 23rd with 15+ episodes of vomiting and was taken to the ER. He was released from Inspira 12 hours later and Amber was told he was positive for Rhinovirus. Throughout the week, Bryson’s health continued to decline. He was very lethargic throughout the day, he could not eat or drink anything without throwing up unless given Zofran. On Friday 3/28, Amber decided to take him to CHOP to get a second opinion. Bryson was admitted to CHOP for 5 days and became positive for Norovirus. For 10 days straight, Bryson was throwing up 5x+ a day, he started losing weight & became very dehydrated even during his stay at the hospital. CHOP decided to discharge Bryson because they believed Bryson would be able to sustain hydration on his own at home and told Amber there was not much more they could do for him. Amber was forced to take him back home. 4 hours later after being discharged, Amber rushed Bryson to Nemour’s DuPont Children’s Hospital in Delaware after finding him covered in throw up during his nap.

DuPont re-admitted him right away.
We got an update from Amber about Bryson today:
DuPont did an xray on Bryson’s abdomen last night and found that he has nonspecific enteritis/post viral ileus- inflammation of his small intestine which can be caused by the Norovirus.
His bloodwork came back abnormal, showing that he’s fighting infection and inflammation. It only took Bryson being out of CHOP for four hours before getting severely dehydrated again. Nurses at DuPont had difficulty getting IV’s in due to his veins blowing from dehydration. He threw up again this morning & his stay at DuPont will be extended. The doctors and GI specialists are suspecting Bryson to be experiencing post viral dysmotility- delayed emptying of the stomach. Doctors stated that the cause of this is unknown- either Bryson developed this due to the Norovirus or it may be an underlying issue he has had from his history of GI issues and this would explain why Bryson is still throwing up several times a day, 10 days later. Doctors have seen Norovirus lasting this long, but they do believe the virus has subsided and has caused prolonged GI issues going forward. We don’t have an answer as to if this will go away or if we will need further testing when Bryson starts to get better. We will be staying at the hospital until Bryson can keep adequate amounts of fluids and food down on his own. As of right now, more is coming out than going in. Bryson will remain on IV fluids until he is able to eat and drink on his own without vomiting.

Amber has been out of work this entire time and has not left Bryson’s side once.

I am making this GoFundMe in hopes to relieve the financial burden on Bryson’s family. Any amount raised will be used for tolls, gas, living expenses due to Amber out of work and any medical bills insurance will not cover during 3 different hospital stays. Amber has no other option than to stop working due to Bryson’s hospital stay being extended. Therefore, his father cannot be here to help Amber during this time and has to remain working.

Any amount helps. I know Amber and her family will appreciate anything to help her strictly focus on this time with her son and him getting better. There is no set discharge date on when Bryson and Amber can go home yet. Please keep my nephew in your thoughts & prayers. Thank you ❤️
