Asking for help is a hard thing to do....

First off I want to thank all my family, friends and customers. This has been a very stressful past 5 weeks and I'm just wanting to get back on the road to do what I love. Everyone out there helping my small business just really means a lot to me.

Hello everybody, my name is James Hyde. Most of you know me as Denver James and here's my story. I created a scooter transport business over 10 years ago around the hobby of classic scooters that I've been into for over 30 years. Over that time I have been met with a community that is very near and dear to me. It has allowed me to explore some of the other scooter communities around the US and make a lot of new friends all over, some are like family to me. I truly passionately do love what I do and I get entrusted to move some of the most interesting and rare machines, which is an honor. And let's not fail to mention all the other cool stuff that I get to transport as well. This is something I truly worked hard for and it's been well worth it.

So now to talk about the reasons for this fundraiser. So this past fall and winter was very slow for business, less than normal. Around March 16th I set out for the East Coast with my truck and trailer. I was about a hundred miles out when my truck started having major problems to where I had to stop and have it towed to a shop. Luckily being close to home still I sent it to my normal mechanic. Normally I have really good experience with the shop but this particular visit has been kind of a nightmare. They received my truck March 17th. The shop did have customers ahead of me so I was in line, that was a three and a half week repair. It was transmission related and I didn't receive my truck back until April 9th. Now on April 10th I was running a couple errands around the town I live in getting ready to leave out of state for work when my transmission totally went South. So back to the shop getting it there last Monday. You would think since they let my truck go and it wasn't right they would prioritize to get my truck out the door. Yesterday, 8 days after the truck been dropped off I went up there to see the progress on my truck, as the phone communication has been near to nothing. I'm a small business and I do recognize them being a small business so I can understand getting overwhelmed at times. But I think this particular issue should have had more attention. Anyway, they had not started the work on my truck and the mechanic proceeded to tell me it's going to be probably another week if that.

And this is where this becomes a major setback. Before I even set out on the initial trip before I broke down I had all my responsibilities planned out as normal. April 1st I was able to pay all my bills. I was also able to take care of the first truck fix, which if that would have solved the problem I wouldn't be in this position now. The truck going back to the shop for a transmission rebuild and has definitely changed things for the worst. Being down for 5 weeks and no income coming in at all and a lot going out has wiped me out. 2 weeks ago I saw a way out of this but now it's to the point where I need ask for help.

These donations will help take care of my bills on May 1st and give me a little bit of fuel money to get back on the road.

Again Thank you all...
