Mums battle through cancer.

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, and anyone whom this may reach,

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but it breaks my heart to say my bestfriend, my rock, my mother has recently been diagnosed with stage three lower esophagus/upper stomach cancer. We first discovered something was majorly wrong back in July when she couldn’t keep anything down. Finally after tons of appointments and a lot of self advocating, we received the absolute worst news it was confirmed she had the terrible “C”. Following a dreadful final diagnosis of stage three esophageal cancer was in September.

After being diagnosed, we were told she would need extremely aggressive radiation and chemo plus a surgery to follow, if we had any chance at beating this awful disease. My mom recently just before Christmas finished the radiation and chemo portion and a couple days ago we received the news that the date for surgery is a go! Letting us know surgery would be booked for January 24/24.
And as if all of this life changing information we’ve been receiving wasn’t enough my mom hasn’t worked since July! The doctors told us that my mom won’t be able to return for over a year, if at all. Right before finding out she was sick, my mom‘s employer sold the company to a different franchise and it has been an uphill battle to say the least. Both employers are at war about whom the disability should land on, so she is yet to receive any income for being on disability leave due to the companies fighting back and fourth. This is the furthest thing from fair, especially to do this to someone who is already carrying the stress of their health, and what their future may hold.
Throughout it all my mother hasn’t lost her love for life and hasn’t asked for help or complained about anything at all and to me that shows just how strong and resilient she is. We pray that she gets through this and keeps her smile throughout the process. She has a heart of gold and if you know my mom, you know she is the first to help anyone and everyone no questions asked. She has always been a strong & independent single mom, with whom only relied on her own income to take care of us. My mother Cindy deserves to walk into this next portion of her battle with cancer, not worrying about all the financial stress and how she’s going to pay her rent or her bills. She deserves the world. So please if you can join me in giving back to the one who never stops giving we would be forever grateful! Any donation is greatly appreciated.
We love you mom, you are strong and will get through this ❤️
