Hi, this is my beautiful mum Natalie. She has just been diagnosed with cancer for the third time after being told she was cancer free around a month ago. She has sadly suffered breast cancer twice, and has courageously beat it both times. She had what we thought would be her last surgery in January this year, making her cancer free. Unfortunately, we received the devastating news last week that for the third time the cancer is back. This time it has spread to her liver. As you can imagine, this is a tough time for our family and for her especially. My mum has been on and off battling cancer for almost 8 years and it has been extremely challenging for her mentally and physically. Due to this illness, lots of plans, holidays, etc have had to be cancelled which has made it more difficult for her to deal with. She has just turned 50 this January and to celebrate this and being what we believed as cancer free, she created a bucket list of 50 things to do for being 50. As mentioned by the cancellations, the majority of this has been hindered due to the cancer coming back and she is unable to fulfil it. One thing that she wishes for the most is to be able to see Lady Gaga perform live. It has been a dream of hers for years and as you may know Lady Gaga is touring this year and she would absolutely love to see her. The prices for this concert however are extremely expensive and resale prices are only heightening this expense. I have created this GoFundMe to hopefully raise money for me and my mum to attend the concert and allow my mum to have just one night where she is free of all this stress. One ticket costs roughly £400-£600 hence why I have set the goal for this amount. This is just to cover the price for my mum - I have picked up more shifts at work to hopefully be able to afford my own ticket (I am 18 and working minimum wage so this will be challenging but I’m determined to do what it takes to help my mum’s dream come true). As shown in one of the photos, my mum has hosted her own charity events to raise money for cancer charities. She has done this many times and has raised an impressive amount of money to help others. I would be extremely grateful if this kind gesture could be returned, as my mum truly deserves to receive the kindness that she gives.
