My Mugshot Movie!

My team and I put together a line budget to describe where all collected funds will go:

Casting: $150

Wardrobe/Makeup/SFX: $275

Set Dressing (studio-apartment set, zine printing, shooting backdrop): $1,200

Photography (RC paper, chemicals, film rolls, enlarger, darkroom access, etc.): $1,200

Catering/Craft Services: $900

Music Licensing/Scoring: $1,000

Hardware (hard drives, SD cards, batteries): $400

Miscellaneous Production Costs: $250

For a grand total of $5,375!

To whom it may concern! My name is Janssen Van De Yacht, I'm a Digital Filmmaking senior at Loyola University New Orleans, and I'm raising money for my senior thesis movie "Mugshot "!

"Mugshot " lingers on the communion of a black and white film photographer and a notorious model killer. We are fascinated by the uncanny, violent, and unsettling, particularly when there is a third-party lens between the subject and its audience. My goal is to connect with struggling artists who go to great lengths to be respected, or even acknowledged, for their work. I want this movie to spotlight the extremes of artistic integrity and identity.

Film photography is an expensive little hobby, and in order to make this movie as best I can, I need to get a lot of the materials needed to shoot, develop, process, and print my own film photos! We are anticipating a production design budget of at least $2,000 big ones, plus all the extra funds to out-source some actors, feed my cast and crew, ensure I have all the equipment needed, create a really awesome soundtrack, etc. There's a lot that goes into it!

It is extremely difficult to self-produce a movie, and any contribution would help me not have to skip a meal or pick up those extra shifts. As a full-time student and part-time service worker, the income just isn't cutting it, and I need a little push over the edge to make "Mugshot" the best version of itself!
