My mother's terminal cancer wish
Donation protected
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to you on behalf of my mother, Martina Cruz Sanchez, who has been bravely battling cancer for the past two years. Regrettably, her recent diagnosis of terminal cancer, with a prognosis of only 4 to 6 months, has left us with little time to fulfill her deepest wish. My mother's lifeline rests upon a P line, through which she receives essential liquid nutrition every night. While she has been accepted into hospice care, she is holding onto her final wish before integrating into their care. Her greatest desire is to reunite with her sisters, whom she hasn't seen in over 25 years or more. As I navigate the requirements and logistics, I am faced with an unexpected financial burden. We are currently in the process of securing a visa for her sisters, but there are numerous expenses involved, including travel costs from their home country to the US, accommodations, and meals during their stay. Additionally, my mother dreams of spending precious time with her sisters in Catalina Island vacations, creating cherished memories without the weight of impending loss or financial strain. This wish holds immense significance for my mother, who, due to her undocumented status, was unable to attend the funerals of her father, mother, and brother. Reuniting with her sisters would fulfill a long-held longing to bid farewell to her loved ones. Despite the hardships we face, my mother continues to exhibit extraordinary strength and resilience. Her unwavering determination to cherish every moment until her last breath serves as a source of inspiration for our family. We are united in our commitment to making her final wish a reality, drawing strength from her courage and love. I appeal to the kindness of humanity for assistance in granting my mother's wish. Your support would alleviate the financial burden on our family and enable us to focus on creating precious memories together in her remaining time. Thank you for considering my mother's request. Your kindness and generosity would bring immeasurable comfort and joy to her during this challenging chapter of her life.
Sincerely, Sandra Vallejo
