One of my mothers closest friends helped write this for us.
Where do I begin ? My heart is breaking but this is not about me. This about one of my very best friends for over 20 years. She has been through so much in her life from one diagnosis to another. She suffers from Chiari malformation, a condition where the brain stem sinks into the spinal canal. She is a survivor of brain surgery due to that rare condition as well as a survivor of many other medical conditions. Most recently she has been diagnosed with Stage 2/3 Lung Cancer a couple months ago. Which has quickly progressed into Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer that started in her lungs and has spread rapidly throughout her body within a short period of time. We cannot believe after all she has gone through, cancer is taking her life. She has stated to family, a few friends and now has told the doctor she no longer wants treatments as she is done. This is difficult to write as she is still here with us and I can’t even imagine how Nicole herself is feeling as well as her family. I am asking for her family and friends who have become family, to please consider donating as the cost of her cremation can be very costly. Especially when her family members have been taking a lot of time off work to spend as much time as possible with her before she goes. This stage 4 cancer diagnosis happened all within a couple of months and Nicole’s family was not mentally nor financially prepared for this to happen. Life is so short, so love who you love and show them that you do. Thank you in advance to anyone who contributes to this. We are forever grateful to the love and support we have received since finding out about all of this.
