My mother's end of life expenses

Donation protected
Hello friends and family,

My beautiful mother unfortunately left us November 29th, 2021. I am reaching out for help to cover any expenses that come with her passing.

She was taken to Methodist Hospital on the 24th of November after an accident the previous week where she fell and couldn't get back up which resulted in her being bed ridden and unable to move much if at all. A week later she realized she needed to go see a doctor. After blood tests and a CT scan the doctors discovered cancer in her lungs, liver, and bone. The prognosis was very dire and we had hoped she would have more time with us but her health declined rapidly and it was clear she wouldn't be able to leave the hospital.

My mother lost her insurance along with her job when the Covid shutdown happened and it made it difficult for her to go to the doctor for check ups and to get the medication she needed after being diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure many years ago as well as Diabetes. I've been at a complete loss with how quick this all happened. I've taken a leave of absence from both jobs to be there for her and to take care of of any end of life responsibilities.

My mom has done so much to enrich and better my life. I would like to eventually hold a celebration of life event in her memory, however, she made it very clear "Not in the F*cking Winter!" So I intend on arranging something in the spring. I will be making a facebook event when the time comes to celebrate my amazing mother. I am doing my best to respect all of her last wishes so she will be cremated at Crescent Tide Cremation Services.

I am grateful for all the memories I've had with her, for all the love she gave, all that she taught me, and all the lives she touched in her 62 years of living. Anyone that knows her can attest to her personality and heart. And those of us who were lucky enough to eat her food know how passionate she was and how amazing of a cook she was. Words cannot express how dearly she will be missed.

It's hard for me to reach out and ask for financial help but I am overwhelmed by all of this and appreciate anything you can do. I know times have been tough. Thank you so much for reading this and any donations you give. Most of all, thank you for being in her life and loving her.

Sincerely,

Andrew Juri Loutchko Kurtz
