First our family would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to read our request. As of February, 15th 2025 our mother Paula Ward-Holland was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism (Blood clot in the lungs). Along with receiving the unfortunate diagnosis, she like many others, were recently terminated due to the DOGE Federal probation termination initiative. Where all newly hired federal employees within their 2 - year probational period were terminated with little notice and not offered any type of severance.

The doctors have placed her on blood thinners to reduce the size of the clots so hopefully they pass on their own. However, her doctors are stating that she will need treatments for months to come. With the recent termination of her employment, she not only loss her main source of income but, her insurance as well which now only last 30 days post termination. We are asking for any assistance you may be able to provide as her Blood thinner medication after insurance is 402.00 for an lease 6 months each month,, alone not including the other medications including blood pressure stabilizers, and oxygen.

our mom is a wonderful soul with the most contagious smile, she’s very dedicated to her job and the people who she love serving. our mom has a heart of gold and will do anything for anyone at a drop of a dime. One thing about our mom she’s a strong willed women who does her best to do everything she can on her own but this one time we are asking for any assistance you can provide. All donations will assist with our mom’s medication expenses, housing and the occasional treats for our favorite girl Storm(Her dog/best girl).
